Vehicle Service Bus RIDA since the early 1960s has played an important role in socio-economic development of rural communities, especially the Bumiputera. KBM become the core role in the Tenth Malaysia Plan, the government focusing on increasing access to basic physical infrastructure and quality social and affordable housing, particularly to rural communities.

Vehicle Division (NCB) was established in 1960 under the Village Development Board and Industry, known as RIDA (Rural Industry Development Authorithy). The purpose of the establishment of the NCB is to provide transportation services to the residents of rural areas especially for Felda settlers and help natives engaged in the transportation industry. At that time known as the Vehicle Division Vehicle RIDA and transport services carried out by the division known as Bus RIDA.

Experience MARA (Vehicle Bus MARA) in providing services to the rural population has seen many changes in terms of implementation. On 1 September 1985, Mara Holdings Sdn. Limited. was formed by taking over MARA Vehicle Group Berhad (KKMB) and other companies have been privatized MARA and then to Nadicorp. Sdn. Limited. in 2000.

On 7 December 2004, the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister's Department was officially informed that the privatization program does not include the FCC. Therefore KBM buses remain under MARA until now. On 24 September 2005, the FCC re-branded with the name MARA Liner and fully managed by the Vehicle Programme. On 17 April 2012, the FCC was incorporated and registered as a management Pvt. Limited. which is also a subsidiary of MARA.
